Fraser Health's new Urgent Primary Care Centre in Surrey
lifestyle September 26th. 2020, 10:31pmThere’s a new kind of medical centre in North Surrey/Whalley. It provides a one stop location for patients to receive urgent care for non-emergency health concerns. It also provides a family doctor to local patients who do not have one.
This centre offers treatment for issues such as:
– Minor pains: sore throats, back pain, ear aches
– Minor injuries: small cuts needing stitches
– Fevers and infections
The centre also offers access to:
– A family physician
– Mental health and substance use counselling
– Prescription renewal (not refills)
– Home health care and street outreach
– Referrals to specialists, community services
